If there is one talisman, lucky charm, about happiness, it is this:
Give what you want to get!
If you want peace, be the harbinger of peace.
If you want to be happy, make someone else happy.
If you want fearlessness, cause fear to no one.
If you want to be loved, be loving.
If you want joy, bring joy in other’s lives.
If you want fulfillment, make others fulfilled.
If you want security, make others secure.
If you want knowledge, share your knowledge joyously.
You will always have that in abundance which you share with others, aplenty.
Remove those things from your life which you do not want to experience.
Life is a faithful mirror: it reflects the happy or sad faces, as is.
Once, during dream, a person went to an exotic place.
Everyone he met over there seemed very weird, difficult, and annoying. After a few days, he asked an elderly fellow, “Why everyone here looks so weird and outrageous?”
The elderly man explained gently: “Sir, over here we have invisible, mysterious mirrors all around. What you are seeing is yourself only!”
Happiness is not a house that one can build with one’s hands. It is a flower which surprises us when we are busy hoeing our garden. It cannot be pursued, it must ensue.
The calculus of life is simple: We get what we give, manifold.
One cannot expect flowers while sowing thorns all along.
